WPC Line Control Features: What to Ask a Supplier to Demonstrate
Review proposed WPC line controls by testing synchronized speeds, alarms and stacking behavior, while confirming component brands and the actual product route.
When reviewing WPC production-line controls, ask the supplier to demonstrate how each proposed feature works with the actual product route. Speed synchronization, alarms and automatic stacking can be useful, but their inclusion and behavior need confirmation. First establish whether the project concerns indoor expanded-core flooring, a natural-fiber board or an outdoor wood-composite profile; the control discussion should follow that choice.

Confirm the proposed component schedule
The original equipment description mentioned Siemens electrical components, a Delta temperature-control module, screw cooling and twin-screw feeding. Treat these as configuration questions rather than standard features on every WPC line. Ask for a component list identifying the proposed make, model, role and alternatives. Review the information with the factory’s maintenance team, including access to documentation and identification of replacement parts for the selected configuration.
Ask what synchronized speeds control
Have the supplier show which sections run independently and which follow a common speed reference. Discuss the relationship between extrusion, shaping and haul-off under normal operating changes. If width tracking or another automatic feedback function is proposed, confirm the measured signal, permitted adjustment and operator override. A general statement that traction automatically corrects every blockage is not an acceptable explanation of the process. Request a demonstration under an agreed procedure rather than creating an uncontrolled fault.
Review alarms as operating instructions
Confirm whether the proposal includes current, material-level, pressure or other process warnings. Ask what each warning means, how it appears to the operator and what action is required. Some warnings may permit an adjustment; other conditions may require a stop and investigation. The operator should not need to infer the recovery procedure from an unexplained alarm name. Include alarm documentation and training requirements in the equipment handover scope.
Evaluate receiving and stacking
If alternating stacking stations are included, demonstrate how the line signals a full stack and how the next station is selected. Specify the intended board sizes, stack arrangement and material transfer method. Record the tasks people perform between cycles, including removing stacks and checking samples. A complete control review connects screen functions with real operator actions and product movement. Send Jiahao the intended product and handling requirements so the discussion addresses the actual line rather than a generic list of WPC automation advantages.
