SPC Flooring Equipment Quotations: Compare Scope Before Price
Compare SPC equipment quotations by supplied stages, tooling, downstream interfaces and acceptance evidence so omissions are visible before a purchase decision.
To compare SPC flooring equipment quotations, first make sure each supplier is proposing the same production boundary. An offer covering core extrusion is different from one including preparation and finished-floor processing. Build a common comparison list from the target floor and the equipment you already own, then ask suppliers to mark what they provide and where their responsibility ends.

Define a common equipment boundary
Separate preparation, extrusion, forming, cooling and receiving from downstream finishing. List any required coating, conditioning, slitting, locking-profile machining, underlay attachment and packing operations. Mark equipment retained from the current factory, including the interfaces that a new supplier must accommodate. This avoids comparing a complete-looking catalog list with a quotation that quietly assumes the buyer already has several supporting machines.
Compare tooling and configuration documents
Ask for the proposed model identification, tooling scope, component schedule and process layout. Confirm the intended product range rather than assuming one configuration can make every thickness or format. Note alternatives and substitutions in the comparison sheet. Product specifications should remain the same across offers; if a supplier changes the proposed floor or material assumptions, record that difference and ask why before treating the quotations as equivalent.
Include the less visible project items
Review material transfer, production buffers, receiving, maintenance access and the equipment needed for planned inspection. Confirm what installation and commissioning cover and which site preparations the factory must complete. Training and spare-part support need defined deliverables rather than general promises. Include documents that operators and maintenance staff require at handover. These items affect whether the package can be put to work, even when they do not appear in a headline machine description.
Compare acceptance on the same basis
Agree a representative formula, floor structure and sample-checking plan before assessing demonstrated output or quality. Ask each supplier what evidence will be provided and what still needs verification after installation. Review interruptions and rejected material as well as acceptable samples. Send Jiahao the common comparison brief and existing equipment list so that an SPC proposal can be reviewed against clear requirements. Scope clarity should come before a purchasing decision based on an unexplained machine count or broad claims of superior flooring performance.
